My 5 Months in China

My 5 months in China was meaningful in many ways. It was about fulfilling a personal journey of seeing my favorite artworks and cultural sites that I once studied in class. It was about familiarizing myself with local customs and dishes of the nine provinces visited. It was about ending my trip in my hometown in Nanjing to retrace my roots and pay my respects to my grandparents. While it was a solo trip abroad, I was never fully alone. Along the way, I got to meet friendly locals whom I shared meals, a train compartment, or a tent with. I got to say hi to family members that came to visit. I got to meet these incredible kungfu brothers and sisters. And of all places, I also got to fall in love.
