Rijksmuseum Heuristic Evaluation

ABOUT THE PROJECT

The Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam is home to over 670,000 works of art including masterpieces by Rembrandt, Frans Hals, and Vermeer. With over two million visits a year, the museum has built a useful iOS application to make sure visitors can easily access guided tours, explore their collections, or purchase tickets in advance.

A formal evaluation report was conducted to examine the usability of Rijksmuseum’s iOS interface, with references to Jakob Nielsen’s Ten Usability Heuristics.
